The Ad 2 National Executive Board also forms an Advisory Board each year to better serve local clubs in a variety of areas.
The 2011/12 Advisory Board is tasked with:
- Communications Advisor - Work in conjunction with the Executive Board to develop/design a template for a monthly Ad 2 National newsletter containing relative content including newsworthy industry articles and highlights from club initiatives across the country. Create a 1-sheet “About Ad 2” template for clubs to customize and send to new members.
- Interactive Advisor – Keep the Ad2.org website consistently updated with new information to keep it relevant for all Ad 2 clubs. Maintain regular communication with the AAF webmaster to ensure cross promotion whenever possible on AAF.org.
- Social Media Advisor – Provide timely, interesting and accurate updates to all Ad 2 National social media channels including Facebook and Twitter. Stay on top of all new social media outlets and tactics in order to increase the organization’s exposure and maintain strong communication with its members and prospective members. Work with local clubs to increase visibility in local communities through social media.
- Public Service Advisor - Maintain a standard set of rules for the Ad 2 Public Service Competition. Work with the Executive Board on all Public Service initiatives. Update all clubs throughout the year on important dates and deadlines. Quantify results based on national presentations. Share Public Service best practices from clubs across the country. Work with the Interactive Advisor to maintain the Public Service microsite within Ad2.org.
- Diversity Advisor - Work with the AAF’s Diversity in Advertising Committee to help clubs promote diversity in their communities. Support local clubs by providing current tactics to promote diversity in advertising.
- Programs/Membership Advisor - Develop, communicate and administrate all local and national membership initiatives. Communicate ideas/programs on membership development and retention to Ad 2 Presidents and local committee chair counterparts. Develop and communicate programming ideas for Ad 2 Clubs to all Ad 2 Presidents and local committee chair counterparts.
- Fundraising Advisor - Work in conjunction with the Executive Board on the ADMERICA! raffle fundraiser planning and execution. Develop and communicate fundraising ideas to all local clubs.
- Education Advisor – Develop program ideas for Ad 2 educational projects, both for the public and for the profession; work with local clubs to support and assist in the formation of AAF college chapters.
- Government Relations Advisor - Organize and motivate all local Ad 2 clubs to secure a government relations chairperson. Serve as a support and guidance for local government relations’ chairpersons and encourage them to monitor their state legislative activities and take action when necessary.
